DELORD ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1987 MAGNUM 150 CL

  • Ageing eau-de-vie from the 1987 harvest, bottled after several decades of ageing in the cellar
  • Cask aged in Gascon oak casks at the Armagnac Delord cellars in Lannepax

The 1987 vintage from Armagnac Delord is a single-harvest eau-de-vie, distilled and then aged for many years in Gascon oak casks at the family cellars in Lannepax, in the Gers. On the nose, it reveals fruity notes of quince, muscat, dried apricot and mirabelle plum, alongside spice: vanilla. The palate is complex, offering liquorice, dried fruits (raisin, fig, apricot), spice (cinnamon) and orange zest. Bottled at 40% vol., this vintage Armagnac is presented here in a 150 cl magnum, equally suited to leisurely tasting or as an exceptional gift.

How it is made

Traditional vinification to obtain an aromatic wine, lightly acidic and low in alcohol. Continuous distillation in the classic Armagnac style: column stills fitted with "spider-leg" plates, ideally suited to the production of aged Armagnacs. Matured in new French oak casks (heavy toast), then finished in "semi-exhausted" or fully exhausted barrels.
