This cuvée bears the name of the patriarch, Gaston Béraut, who crafted it together with his son Mathieu from their finest casks. Half Ugni Blanc, half Folle Blanche, it brings together several vintages, the youngest of which is ten years old, aged in medium-grain barrels. The colour is a deep yellow with orange highlights; the nose, powerful and fairly woody, combines peach and mirabelle plum with refined spices. The palate is warm and smooth, lifted by a hint of paprika, full-bodied and lightly saline. It was awarded a gold medal at the Concours Général Agricole in Paris in 2007, 2010 and 2013.
