JEAN CAVÉ BAS-ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1926
- Ageing Vintage: eau-de-vie from the 1926 harvest alone, unblended
- Cask Oak casks, cellars of the house in Lannepax (Gers)
Jean Cavé is located, as the house itself notes, at the heart of the appellation, in Lannepax, in the Gers; visits are welcome by appointment, on the Rue Principale. It is there that the 1926 harvest was distilled, then set to age in oak casks, never blended with any other vintage. The house's oldest eaux-de-vie rest in cellars maintained at stable humidity and temperature. This 70 cl bottle is well suited to a family celebration, to marking a birth from that year, or to a shared tasting among enthusiasts.
