JEAN CAVÉ BAS-ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1953
- Ageing Vintage: eau-de-vie from the 1953 harvest alone, unblended
- Cask Oak casks, cellars of the house at Lannepax (Gers)
On 2 June 1953, Elizabeth II was crowned at Westminster. In the Gers, autumn brought a harvest that Jean Cavé distilled and set to age in oak casks. This vintage has never been blended with any other year. The Cavé family, four generations of distillers and cellar masters, has kept it for their collection of aged eaux-de-vie. A fine idea for an admirer of the British Crown, someone born that year, or a couple celebrating an anniversary from 1953.
