Dartigalongue Armagnac Vintage 1978
This vintage 1978 Bas-Armagnac from the family house Dartigalongue, bottled at 42% vol. in a 70 cl decanter, opens on a nose revealing sandalwood, old leather and a delicate floral note after a little aeration. On the palate, the attack is dry, giving way to a fruity mid-palate of peach, with a finish centred on rancio. Patiently aged in oak casks at the heart of Bas-Armagnac, this 1978 is best enjoyed as a digestif, slowly, to savour the full work of time.
