DELORD ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1978 MAGNUM 150 cl

  • Ageing eau-de-vie from the 1978 harvest, bottled after several decades of ageing in the cellar
  • Cask aged in Gascon oak casks at the Armagnac Delord cellars in Lannepax

The 1978 vintage from Armagnac Delord is a single-harvest eau-de-vie, distilled and then aged for many decades in Gascon oak casks in the family cellars at Lannepax, in the Gers. The nose is suave and complex, with pronounced notes of rancio, spice (ginger, pepper) and light tobacco. The palate opens with great amplitude, moving through notes of vanilla and toasted oak. Bottled at 40% vol., this vintage Armagnac is presented here in a 150 cl magnum, ideal for a special tasting occasion or as an exceptional gift.

In Gascony, the vines yielded a vintage of fine concentration and great maturity. Aged for nearly half a century, these eaux-de-vie offer a deep profile of roasted prunes and dark chocolate.
