DELORD ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1978
- Ageing Eau-de-vie from the sole 1978 harvest, aged in oak casks
- Cask Oak casks, in the house cellars at Lannepax (Gers)
On the house's former website, in the late 2000s, the 1978 appeared in a selection of five vintages, presented as a benchmark eau-de-vie for its aromatic complexity. Its tasting notes detail a suave nose with pronounced rancio, spiced with ginger and pepper, with blonde tobacco, followed by an ample palate ranging from vanilla and toasted notes to cinnamon, through to a finish of exceptional spice richness. Forty-eight years after its harvest, this single-vintage eau-de-vie is bottled at 40% vol., in a 70 cl basquaise bottle with a wooden case.
Serve with Neat, or paired with a cigar, a chocolate dessert or an arabica coffee, as suggested by the house
