In 150 cl, the 1979 from Château de Millet is made for large gatherings, the kind where the memories of 1979 are still brought up and shared. The estate describes a vintage of real fullness: spices and exotic wood on the nose, a very smooth palate at the outset that builds in intensity, and a finish that bursts open. Gilbert & Gaillard awarded it 94/100. Distilled at the estate from its own wines, it aged in cask until its dated bottling. A wooden gift box houses this magnum at 42% vol.
