A fitting vintage for anyone born in 2005, or for celebrations marked that year. It comes from the 2005 harvest, distilled at Panjas by Clés des Ducs and then aged in cask, unblended. The cellar master selects casks that bring length and smoothness, with a light oakiness that allows the fruit to shine through. A youthful, straightforward vintage, ideal for a first encounter with Armagnac. The 70 cl Exception bottle, at 40% vol., is delivered in its cardboard gift box.

2005 will be remembered for the legendary Champions League final in Istanbul and the launch of YouTube. In Gascony, the vines yielded a fresh and expressive vintage. After two decades of ageing in Gascon oak casks, these eaux-de-vie display a youthful, fruit-forward profile, with notes of flowers and fresh fruit, and are still very much evolving.
