In May 1935, the Normandie made her maiden voyage to New York and won the Blue Riband. That same year, in Gascogne, the harvest was picked that gave this eau-de-vie, grown on tawny sands and distilled in an Armagnac-style continuous still. Ninety-one years have passed. At Baron de Sigognac, these very old years are never blended: each keeps its own Limousin oak casks and its own character, at Château de Bordeneuve. To be sipped slowly, at the end of a meal, without ice or water. 70 cl bottle at 40% vol., presented in a wooden box; the bottling date is shown on the back.
