DELORD ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1962
- Ageing Eau-de-vie from the 1962 harvest alone, aged in oak casks
- Cask Oak casks, in the house cellars at Lannepax (Gers)
Among the vintages in the Delord range, only the 1960 predates this 1962. The eau-de-vie, drawn from a single harvest, spent its years maturing in the cellars of Lannepax while the house passed from Gaston and Georges to Jacques, Gaston's eldest son, who took over in 1963. The house tasting notes describe an Armagnac of rancio and candied fruit, with cocoa and well-evolved oak taking over on the palate. Bottled at 40% vol., it is presented in a 70 cl basquaise bottle, in its wooden gift case.
Serve with Neat, or alongside a cigar, a chocolate dessert or an arabica coffee, as the house suggests
