DELORD ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1979
- Ageing eau-de-vie from the 1979 harvest, bottled after several decades of ageing in the cellars
- Cask aged in Gascon oak casks at the Armagnac Delord cellars in Lannepax
The 1979 vintage from Armagnac Delord is a single-harvest eau-de-vie, distilled and then slowly aged in Gascon oak casks in the family cellars at Lannepax, in the Gers. On the nose, it reveals a rich and powerful character, with generous aromas of vanilla, cocoa, butter and warm wood. The palate follows suit, offering notes of careful oak ageing (vanilla, wood). Bottled at 40% vol., this vintage Armagnac is presented here in a 70 cl bottle, equally suited to contemplative tasting or as an exceptional gift.
Serve with best enjoyed as a digestif, neat in a tulip glass, or paired with a cigar, dark chocolate or a dried-fruit dessert
