Thirty-five years of marriage calls for a ruby wedding anniversary, and the colour of an Armagnac of this age is not far off. This 1991 harvest was aged at Château de Bordeneuve, in the cellars where Baron de Sigognac matures each vintage year by year. The couple may open it on the day itself and return to it at every anniversary to come. The house tasting notes are reproduced below. 70 cl, 40% vol., bottled to order, delivered in a wooden gift box.

The 1991 Vintage

1991 was marked by a late April frost that affected several vineyards across the greater South-West and reduced yields in certain areas. The eaux-de-vie it produced nonetheless display an elegant and powerful profile, with notes of fruit, prune and a subtle woody touch, the palate round, full and generous with hints of candied fruit and spice.
