LAUBADE ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1991

  • Cask Pedunculate oak from Gascony, 420-litre casks

François Laura, cellar master at Laubade, and the Lesgourgues family decide together, tasting after tasting, when a vintage is ready. For this 1991 harvest, the house describes aromas of prune and candied grapes, a powerful, supple and rich palate, followed by a refined finish. The eau-de-vie was distilled in the estate's own still and aged in Gascon oak casks made from staves grown on the property. The 70 cl bottle, bottled at 40% vol., is a natural choice for those born in 1991.

The 1991 Vintage

1991 was marked by a late April frost that affected several vineyards across the greater South-West and reduced yields in certain areas. The eaux-de-vie it produced nonetheless display an elegant and powerful profile, with notes of fruit, prune and a subtle woody touch, the palate round, full and generous with hints of candied fruit and spice.
