JEAN CAVÉ BAS-ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1956
- Ageing Vintage: eau-de-vie from the 1956 harvest alone, unblended
- Cask Large-grain oak, medium toast
- Distillation Continuous
The winter of 1956 is remembered for the great February freeze, which struck many French vineyards hard. The autumn harvest yielded this eau-de-vie, continuously distilled by Jean Cavé and aged in large-grain oak casks. Offered in the cask-strength range, at the natural degree of the cellar, it is bottled at 42.1% vol. No blending. The house notes that each vintage reflects the climatic conditions of its year. Olympe decanter, wooden arch presentation, for a birth or a wedding anniversary from 1956.
