JEAN CAVÉ BAS-ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1900
- Ageing Vintage: eau-de-vie from the 1900 harvest alone, unblended
- Cask Thick-grained oak ('gros grains'), medium char
- Distillation Continuous
In 1900, Paris inaugurated its Universal Exhibition and, in July, the first line of its metropolitan railway. In the Gers, the house of Jean Cavé had already been established for seventeen years when this harvest entered the chai. The eau-de-vie, distilled using the continuous method, aged in thick-grained oak and was not blended with any other year. The house presents it today in an Olympe decanter of 70 cl, housed in a wooden arch. A witness to the turn of the century, to mark a milestone in the history of a family or a business.
