JEAN CAVÉ BAS-ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1904

  • Ageing Vintage: single-harvest eau-de-vie from 1904, unblended
  • Cask Oak casks, cellars of the house at Lannepax (Gers)

Signed in April 1904, the Entente Cordiale brought France and the United Kingdom closer together. The Gascon harvest of that year, distilled by Jean Cavé, has been kept as a single-harvest eau-de-vie ever since. The house notes that, in the quiet half-light of the chai, the colour of an eau-de-vie shifts slowly from clear to deep amber. More than a century of patience is held within this 70 cl bottle. A fitting choice for a British friend, a milestone anniversary from that year, or a collection of rare vintages.

Over the years, the house has assembled one of the most remarkable co…
