1905 will be remembered as the year Albert Einstein overturned physics with his theory of special relativity, while in Gascony the vines continued their unhurried life to the peaceful rhythm of the Belle Époque. The eaux-de-vie drawn from that harvest, extraordinarily rare today, bear witness to a vanished world after more than a century of sleep in Gascon oak casks.
In 1883, Jean Cavé, a winegrower, settled in Lannepax in the Gers as a distiller and négociant, alongside his wife and two sons. Our Armagnacs are the result of harmonious blends of eaux-de-vie drawn from the finest production areas of Armagnac and Bas-Armagnac. Distilled and selected with the utmost care, these eaux-de-vie are laid down in oak casks from Gascony and left to age in our cellars until they reach their ideal maturity.
