JEAN CAVÉ BAS-ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1907
- Ageing Vintage: eau-de-vie from the 1907 harvest alone, unblended
- Cask Oak casks, aged in the house cellars at Lannepax (Gers)
In the spring of 1907, Languedoc winegrowers were taking to the streets by the hundreds of thousands, rallying behind Marcelin Albert against the wine crisis. Further west, in Gascony, the harvest of that same year yielded the eau-de-vie in this bottle, distilled and laid down by the house of Jean Cavé. It contains nothing but that single harvest. Since 1883, the house of Lannepax has been building a collection that its website describes as one of the finest in the world for old, vintage-dated armagnacs. A bottle for the wine history enthusiast, or to mark a family date.
