1920 marked the end of the Great War and the dawn of the Roaring Twenties, while the United States was introducing Prohibition. In Gascony, the vines continued to yield despite the upheavals of the century, producing a harvest that has become, with time, a rare treasure, aged for over a century in Gascon oak casks.
In 1883, Jean Cavé, a winegrower, settled in Lannepax in the Gers as a distiller and négociant, alongside his wife and two sons.
