JEAN CAVÉ BAS-ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1923
- Ageing Vintage: eau-de-vie from the 1923 harvest alone, unblended
- Cask Wide-grain oak, medium toast
- Distillation Continuous
In May 1923, the 24 Hours of Le Mans was run for the very first time. In the Gers, that autumn's harvest yielded the eau-de-vie that Jean Cavé now offers, unblended. It was distilled in a column still, using the continuous method, then laid down in a wide-grained oak cask. The expertise of the founding family has been passed down to the current cellar master, Mathias Rodriguez. Presented in an Olympe decanter, set in a wooden arch. A fitting choice for a motoring enthusiast, a family milestone, or a collector.
