JEAN CAVÉ BAS-ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1961

  • Ageing Vintage: eau-de-vie from the 1961 harvest alone, unblended
  • Cask Oak casks, aged in the house cellars at Lannepax (Gers)

On 12 April 1961, Yuri Gagarin became the first man to travel in space. In Gascony, the autumn harvest yielded the eau-de-vie that Jean Cavé distilled and aged in oak casks. This vintage has remained alone, true to its year. For the house, vintages are also wonderful gifts to mark the passing of time: that is the spirit of this 70 cl bottle. For someone born in 1961, a couple celebrating a wedding anniversary from that year, or a passionate admirer of the space race.

Aged for more than six decades in Gascon oak casks, these eaux-de-vie display a remarkable depth.
