CASTARÈDE ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1963
- Ageing 57 years in cask, bottled in 2020
- Cask oak
Fifty-seven years in cask, then bottled in 2020: this Castarède 1963 has been given the time to develop fully. The eau-de-vie comes from a single harvest, with no blending, and the house has dedicated a published tasting note to it, reproduced here. Sixty-three years separate the harvest from 2026. Founded in 1832, Castarède presents itself as the oldest Armagnac merchant house still independent and family-owned. Bottled at 40% vol. in a 70 cl bottle with presentation case: a solid and sincere anniversary gift.
