DELORD ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1973
- Ageing eau-de-vie from the 1973 harvest, bottled after several decades of ageing in the cellars
- Cask aged in Gascon oak casks at the Armagnac Delord cellars in Lannepax
The 1973 vintage from Armagnac Delord is a single-harvest eau-de-vie, distilled and then aged for many decades in Gascon oak casks within the family cellars at Lannepax, in the Gers. On the nose, it reveals great richness, with notes of rancio, cocoa and vanilla. The palate opens with a smooth, rounded attack, developing complex layers of spice (pepper, ginger, clove) and rancio. Bottled at 40% vol. in a 70 cl bottle, this vintage Armagnac is equally suited to leisurely tasting or as an exceptional gift.
Serve with best enjoyed as a digestif, neat in a tulip glass, or paired with a cigar, dark chocolate, or a dried-fruit dessert
