BARON DE SIGOGNAC ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1982
- Ageing until bottling, as stated on the back label
- Cask Limousin oak
- Grape varieties Ugni Blanc or Baco
- Terroir tawny sands
- Distillation Armagnac-type continuous still
On 21 June 1982, France celebrated its first Fête de la musique. That autumn, the Gascon harvest, born of tawny sands and of Ugni Blanc or Baco, was distilled and then placed in Limousin oak casks at Château de Bordeneuve, where it has aged on its own. Forty-four years have passed. The estate works with an almost century-old copper column still of the Armagnac type, in small quantities. For a musician born in 1982, or for a birthday to be celebrated with songs, it is a fitting nod. Cognac-style bottle, 70 cl, filled to order, with the bottling date on the back.
