PELLEHAUT ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1982 BRUT DE FÛT
- Cask 400-litre pièces, large-grain oak from the property and Limousin
- Grape varieties Ugni Blanc
This is a sunny vintage. Light amber-orange in colour with golden highlights, the 1982 from the domaine opens on fairly assertive citrus notes. On the palate it gains volume, supple and full-bodied, very fruity with ripe orange and mirabelle plum. The estate's oenologist also finds a spring-like nose of freshly cut grass and a smoky touch. Distilled from Ugni Blanc alone, it was aged in oak pièces from the property and Limousin, then bottled cask strength at 48.2% vol. A generous eau-de-vie, best reserved for lovers of lively spirits.
