PELLEHAUT ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1983 BRUT DE FÛT
- Cask 400-litre casks, coarse-grained oak from the estate and from Limousin
- Grape varieties Ugni Blanc
In the range of vintages from the Béraut family, the 1983 is the one defined by plum. Its amber colour leans toward brown, and the estate describes a mellow nose, very rancio, marked by fermented plum. The palate, slightly lively, remains very fruity with well-ripened dark plum and a fine aromatic persistence. The eau-de-vie, made from Ugni Blanc, was continuously distilled in a wood-fired still, as are all those from the estate, then bottled without reduction at 47% vol. A bottle for those born in 1983, or for anyone who appreciates straightforward armagnacs.
