In May 1994, the Channel Tunnel was inaugurated. The Gascon harvest of that year was distilled and aged at Château de Bordeneuve, where each vintage keeps its own casks. Thirty-two years on, this Baron de Sigognac would make a fine gift for a British friend born in 1994, or for anyone who appreciates a connection between the two shores. The tasting note provided by the house appears below. 70 cl bottle, at 40% vol., bottled to order and delivered in a wooden box.

Baron de Sigognac is produced at Château de Bordeneuve, on the sandy-tawny soils around Eauze, the capital of Bas-Armagnac, by the Guasch family, who have been established in Gascony since the twelfth century.
