BARON DE SIGOGNAC ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 2012
- Ageing 2012 vintage
- Cask oak from the Limousin forest
- Grape varieties Ugni Blanc or Baco
- Terroir tawny sands
- Distillation continuous Armagnac-type still
The 2012 vintage Baron de Sigognac comes from Castelnau d'Auzan, in Bas-Armagnac. Made from Ugni Blanc or Baco grown on tawny sands, it was distilled in a continuous Armagnac-type still, then aged in Limousin oak casks. Fourteen years after the harvest, it shows a round, supple style, with honey to the fore, along with vanilla and candied fruit. It is a fine idea for a birth, a birthday, or a bottle to keep until the 18th birthday of a child born in 2012. It is 40% vol., 70 cl, in its Baron de Sigognac wooden case.
