Laballe Gold 21 Ans is the flagship of the collection, a Bas-Armagnac of minimum 21 years of age at 41.6% vol., born from a blend of Ugni Blanc and Baco aged in black Landes oak casks. Its deep amber colour sets the tone for a warm and charming nose of rancio, dried hay, candied citrus and spice, with notes of exotic wood, tobacco and cocoa. The palate is broad and well-balanced, weaving together freshness, oak, red fruits and dark chocolate, leading to an elegant finish of leather and Havana tobacco. Distilled in the estate's traditional copper pot still, it was awarded a gold medal at the Concours Général Agricole de Paris 2015. Best enjoyed neat, as a digestif, with a few dried fruits.
