Fifteen years of age is the time needed to reach fine maturity in oak casks. This Baron de Sigognac is born in Castelnau d'Auzan, in Bas-Armagnac, on tawny sands. It blends 80% Ugni Blanc and 20% Baco, distilled in a single run in an Armagnac-type still. At 40% vol. and presented in a 70 cl bottle, it is best enjoyed after a meal. It also makes a fine gift for a birthday, a wedding, or an enthusiast. The Baron, so the legend goes, trusted only his palate to judge the age of an Armagnac.
