The pot gascon, a full-bellied 250 cl decanter, is the piece one keeps for the grandest celebrations or a fine collection. It contains the 1974 from the estate, the year in which Francis Dèche, who had settled there the previous year, was distilling one of his first harvests. Sealed in wax, it bears the date of bottling, which attests to the true age of the eau-de-vie. The house describes an elegant, barrel-aged nose, a clean attack and a finish resting on liquorice. Prix du Président de la République 1998. The eau-de-vie is bottled at 42% vol.; the pot gascon is presented in a wooden gift box.
