Pousse Rapière
Created in 1963 by René Lassus at Château de Monluc, in Saint-Puy in the Gers, Pousse Rapière is an armagnac liqueur flavored with orange and spices, made to a secret recipe. The traditional cocktail is made with one part liqueur to seven parts sparkling wine, served well chilled with half a slice of orange.
The range comes in three strengths: the light 20% version, the classic 24% and the Black at 36%, which is bolder and best served in cocktails or on ice. A 17% series offers four flavors: orange, lemon, mint and elderflower.
