1955 was a year of cultural ruptures, marked by the meteoric rise of James Dean and the first stirrings of rock'n'roll. In Gascony, the vines yielded a vintage of exceptional maturity, now aged for over seven decades in Gascon oak casks. These eaux-de-vie have developed a fine aromatic depth, weaving together prunes, vanilla and silky rancio.
In 1883, Jean Cavé, a winegrower, settled in Lannepax in the Gers as a distiller and négociant, alongside his wife and two sons. Our Armagnacs are the result of carefully balanced blends of eaux-de-vie drawn from the finest production areas of Armagnac and Bas-Armagnac. Distilled and selected with the utmost care, these eaux-de-vie are placed in oak casks from Gascony and left to age in our cellars until they reach their ideal maturity.
