CASTARÈDE ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1971
- Ageing 49 years in cask, bottled in 2020
- Cask Oak
Castarède offers a precise piece of advice for its 1971: allow the Armagnac to air and warm in the glass before forming any judgment. The eau-de-vie aged forty-nine years in oak casks before being bottled in 2020. Fifty-five years separate the harvest from 2026, the age associated with the orchid wedding anniversary for couples married in 1971. A single harvest, unblended, brought to 40% vol. by the family house founded in 1832. 70 cl bottle presented in a gift box.
NosePowerful and complex; its aromas reveal themselves once the Armagnac has had time to breathe and warm in the glass
