JEAN CAVÉ BAS-ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1990

  • Ageing Vintage: eau-de-vie from the 1990 harvest alone, unblended
  • Cask Large-grain oak, medium toast
  • Distillation Continuous

Alongside the 1973, 1984 and 2001 vintages, the 1990 harvest goes into the Jean Cavé house XXO. This bottle presents it alone, just as it aged in oak casks after continuous distillation: 46.3% vol., the strength of the chai. The Cavé family, established in Lannepax since 1883, thus has two ways of letting the same vintage speak for itself. Olympe decanter, wooden arch presentation. A fine choice for a birth year, a 1990 wedding anniversary, or an enthusiast curious to compare a single vintage with a blend.

Over the years, the house has assembled one of the most remarkable co…
