JEAN CAVÉ BAS-ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1992

  • Ageing Vintage: eau-de-vie from the 1992 harvest alone, unblended
  • Cask 'Gros grains' oak, medium toast
  • Distillation Continuous

In February 1992, Albertville and Savoy hosted the Winter Olympic Games. In the autumn, the harvest in the Gers yielded the eau-de-vie that Jean Cavé distilled using the continuous method, then set to age in 'gros grains' oak casks. It is offered at cask strength, 45.2% vol., in the Olympe decanter from the brut de fût range. A fine choice for a skier, someone born that year, or a couple celebrating their 1992 wedding anniversary.

The 1992 vintage

The 1992 vintage seduces with its deep amber colour and golden highlights. The nose unfolds aromas of dried fruits, apricot, quince and prune, with notes of tobacco and leather that carry through on the palate in perfect harmony with the nose, a mark of the fine balance acquired over years of ageing.
