PELLEHAUT ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1996 BRUT DE FÛT
- Cask 400-litre barrels, large-grain oak from the estate and from Limousin
- Grape varieties Folle Blanche
This is arguably the most unexpected nose in the range: the estate's tasting notes pick out banana, sherbet candy and hyacinth. The palate then finds its balance between a savoury character and aromas of fresh orange. The house oenologist thinks of linden blossom, chestnut and roasted marron, and suggests tasting it with a sugar cube. This Folle Blanche has been bottled at cask strength, at 48.4% vol. The estate also suggests using it in a Stinger, with white crème de menthe.
Serve with best enjoyed as a digestif
