JEAN CAVÉ BAS-ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 2003
- Ageing Vintage: eau-de-vie from the 2003 harvest alone, unblended
- Cask 'Gros grains' oak, medium toast
- Distillation Continuous
The August 2003 heatwave left its mark on France and its vineyards, often bringing the harvest forward. In the Gers, Jean Cavé distilled this crop using continuous distillation, then aged it in 'gros grains' oak casks, without blending. Each vintage, the house says, reflects the climatic conditions of its year. This one is bottled at 52.5% vol. Olympe decanter, wooden arch presentation. A fitting choice for a 2003 birth, a wedding anniversary from that year, or any enthusiast curious about this scorching summer vintage.
