PELLEHAUT ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1973 BRUT DE FÛT
- Cask 400-litre casks, large-grain oak from the estate and from Limousin
- Grape varieties Ugni Blanc
The domaine's tasting notes describe this 1973 vintage as golden yellow with the faintest amber hue, with a nose of woodland undergrowth, cinnamon and fresh walnut. The palate is restrained yet very soft and long, marked by very ripe plum and quince. Distilled from Ugni Blanc alone, the eau-de-vie was single-distilled at the domaine and then laid down in 400-litre casks. It is bottled at its natural strength of 43.7% vol. In 2007, this vintage was selected for the Trofeo Habanos Armagnac. The domaine suggests serving it alongside a chestnut cream yule log.
