- Awards Named World's Best Calvados at the World Calvados Awards 2025
The flagship of the Roger Groult range, the Réserve Ancestrale brings together the oldest eaux-de-vie on the estate, aged on average over thirty-five years and rested in the red oak casks that once belonged to the founder, Pierre Groult. Its deep mahogany colour gives way to a woody, spiced nose of coffee, clove, cinnamon and a hint of liquorice. The palate is fruity and oaky, revealing notes of walnut, and achieves a remarkable balance between power and elegance. Crowned World's Best Calvados in 2025, this rare cuvée stands as a living tribute to the history of a house founded in 1860. A collector's Calvados, to be savoured with due reverence.
