JEAN CAVÉ BAS-ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1968
- Ageing Vintage: eau-de-vie from the 1968 harvest alone, unblended
- Cask Oak casks, cellars of the house in Lannepax (Gers)
In February 1968, Grenoble hosted the Winter Olympics; in May, France lived through weeks of strikes and protests. That autumn, far from the Parisian cobblestones, the Gers harvest yielded the grapes that Jean Cavé distilled into this vintage. It has aged in oak casks and has never been blended with any other year. For a veteran of May '68, someone born that year, or a couple celebrating an anniversary from 1968, this is a bottle that will spark conversation.
