JEAN CAVÉ BAS-ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1970

  • Ageing Vintage: eau-de-vie from the 1970 harvest alone, unblended
  • Cask Large-grain oak, medium char
  • Distillation Continuous

At 54.6% vol., this 1970 ranks among the highest-strength expressions in Jean Cavé's cask-strength range, where each eau-de-vie is bottled at the proof at which it aged in the cellar. It comes from a single harvest, continuously distilled at Lannepax and matured in a large-grain oak cask. A spirit of this strength calls for a measured approach: a small pour, a few minutes' wait, then, if you wish, a drop of water. Olympe decanter, wooden arch presentation. A fine choice for a 1970 birth year or a wedding anniversary from that same year.
