DELORD ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1970 MAGNUM 150 cl
- Ageing Eau-de-vie from the 1970 harvest alone, aged in oak casks
- Cask Oak casks, in the house's cellars at Lannepax (Gers)
The large format suits generous vintages well. The 1970, according to the house's own tasting notes, announces itself immediately as an aged eau-de-vie: dried linden blossom, blond tobacco, roasted coffee, stewed fruits, then pepper, saffron, fig and apricot, before a finish of walnut and the butter of rancio. This 150 cl pot gascon, at 40% vol., in a wooden case, contains a single vintage, the 1970 harvest, distilled at Lannepax. Plenty to celebrate a 56th anniversary or a retirement among friends.
