DELORD ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1970
- Ageing Eau-de-vie from the 1970 harvest alone, aged in oak casks
- Cask Oak casks, in the house cellars at Lannepax (Gers)
On the house tasting notes, the 1970 vintage is described with rare enthusiasm: a richness that immediately reveals the character of an aged eau-de-vie, with dried linden blossom, golden tobacco, roasted coffee and stewed fruits. On the palate, pepper and saffron lead the way to dried fruits, fig and apricot, before a light finish on the rancio. Fifty-six years have passed since the harvest, and the eau-de-vie has never been blended with another year. The 70 cl basquaise bottle, at 40% vol., arrives in its wooden case.
