A magnum doubles the classic bottle and changes the atmosphere entirely: it can be served at a large table, and there is always some left for next time. This eau-de-vie from 1975 was distilled at the estate, two years after Francis and Lydie Dèche settled there. It offers a suave nose of vanilla and rancio, a round palate, and a liquorice finish of remarkable length. With a dark chocolate dessert, the house proposes this as the ideal pairing. This 150 cl magnum, sealed in wax, is bottled at 42 % vol. and comes in a wooden gift box.
Serve with a characterful cigar, or a dark chocolate dessert
