JEAN CAVÉ BAS-ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1993

  • Ageing Vintage: eau-de-vie from the 1993 harvest alone, unblended
  • Cask Large-grain oak, medium toast
  • Distillation Continuous

This 1993 is bottled at 49.6% vol., the strength at which Jean Cavé has chosen to present it in their cask-strength range. The harvest was distilled using the continuous method, as is the case for the great majority of armagnacs, then aged in large-grain oak casks. No blending. Serve neat, in a small measure, and allow a few minutes in the open air. A fine choice for a birth or a wedding anniversary from that year.

In Gascony, the vines yielded a vintage of fine concentration. After more than thirty years of ageing in Gascon oak casks, these eaux-de-vie display deep aromas of prune, liquorice and cocoa, now at their peak.
